Learning how to Knit
Welcome to the beginning of your knit journey! KnitCrate partnered with knit designer and tech editor Aimée Hansen of Yarngerie to create the Stitch Starter Knit kits. This 3-month subscription walks you through all the knit basics you need to create the included beginner projects. Your newly acquired knitting skills will be ones you will use for future projects. Each month, you will receive a kit with everything you need to knit the next level pattern. Included are skeins of the same premium yarn KnitCrate is known for as well as all the knitting needles and notions needed to complete your first knit projects.
Level 1 – Learn how to make a Single Loop Cowl
Your first course includes:
- 1 skein of yarn (Worsted or DK weight; approximately 225 yds (205m) / 100g)
- US 7 (4.5 mm) circular needle, 16" (40 cm)
- Fixed Stitch Markers (3)
- Tape Measure
- Tapestry Needle
- Scissors
- Booklet 1 with step-by-step stitch instructions and links to accompanying videos
Level 2 – Make a Hat!
Your second course (ships your second month) includes:
- 1 skein of yarn (Worsted Weight; approximately 225 yds (205m) / 100g)
- US 6 (4 mm) circular needle, 16" (40 cm)
- US 7 (4.5 mm) DPN (set of 5)
- Booklet 2 with step-by-step stitch instructions and links to accompanying videos
Level 3 – Learn how to make a Bandana Cowl
Your third and final class (ships your third month) includes:
- 2 skeins of yarn (DK weight in contrasting colors (approximately 300 yds (274m) / 100g)
- US 5 (3.75 mm) circular needle, 16" (40 cm)
- Booklet 3 with step-by-step stitch instructions and links to accompanying videos
Monthly subscriptions will automatically renew on the 1st of each month. Cancel at any time by logging into your account and clicking the "Manage Subscriptions" link, then clicking "Cancel Subscription."
How much is it?
Our three-month Stitch Starter Knitting course is $35.99/month for three months $7.95 s&h ($11.95 s&h for international customers). Shipping and handling are included. Subscriptions will auto-renew on the first of each month and can be canceled at any time. Please be advised that if you subscribe on the last day of the month your subscription will auto-renew the next day for the next month's crate as it is the first of the month. Subscriptions auto-renew on the first of the month.
**IMPORTANT: When gifting this subscription, you will need to provide the recipient with the login credentials you used to make the purchase in order for them to access their digital downloads. They will receive a printed booklet in each crate but they have more options available with the digital files. If you want to transfer the account over to them so that they may use their own email to access those files, please email us at info@knitcrate.com for assistance.
